Tinubu Sends Military Support To Kwara
The President has ordered an immediate military deployment to parts of Kwara State after a deadly attack on two rural communities left dozens dead.
The decision followed reports of violence in Kaiama Local Government Area, where armed men struck Nuku and Woro, causing fear and mass casualties.
The assault happened on Tuesday, with state officials confirming that about 75 residents were killed. Survivors said the attackers targeted civilians, turning quiet settlements into scenes of grief.
The scale of the killings pushed the federal government to step in swiftly.
In response, an army battalion has been sent to the area to lead a fresh security push aimed at stopping further attacks and protecting local people.
The new operation will work with state authorities to restore calm, assist affected families, and track those behind the violence.
The President also expressed sympathy for the victims and the people of Kwara State, urging security agencies to act decisively. He stressed that the attackers must be held responsible and that support should reach communities struggling to recover from the loss.
