Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has spoken out following reports that Nollywood actress Regina Daniels’ mother faced a potential arrest by Senator Ned Nwoko.

In a video, VeryDarkMan explained that he reached out to Nwoko directly to intervene. “I called Sen Ned, and I didn’t even know he would pick up, but he answered. I introduced myself as VeryDarkMan, and he said he recognized me,” he said.

He went on to explain the reason behind the alleged threat. “I told him, ‘Sir, I heard you wanted to arrest Regina’s mother again.’ He explained that her mother had posted online claiming his son died in the UK due to drug abuse, while in reality, his son passed away from cardiac arrest, as confirmed by an autopsy. He wanted her to clarify her statement.”

VeryDarkMan said he appealed to Nwoko, urging him to reconsider the arrest, and after their discussion, the senator agreed not to proceed. “I pleaded with him, and he assured me that her mother would not be arrested again,” he added.

The intervention comes shortly after Regina Daniels’ younger brother, Samuel Ojeogwu, popularly known as Sammy West, was arrested and remanded in prison, raising fears for other family members. The ongoing tension between the Daniels family and Senator Nwoko has attracted widespread attention, fueled by public allegations, social media commentary, and legal threats.

VeryDarkMan’s actions reportedly helped prevent another potential arrest, highlighting the influence of public advocacy in mediating high-profile disputes and offering temporary relief to the Daniels family amid escalating tensions.
