EFCC Urges Victims Of CBEX Scam To Report In Ibadan And Lagos

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has invited victims of the fraudulent cryptocurrency platform, Crypto Bridge Exchange, to report to its Ibadan and Lagos offices to aid ongoing investigations.

In a statement issued on Friday in Ibadan, EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed that the agency is prosecuting three suspects — Adefowora Olanipekun, Otorudo Avwerosuo, and Ehirim Chukwuebuka — over their alleged involvement in the scheme.

According to the commission, CBEX enticed Nigerians to invest with promises of unrealistic returns, causing severe financial losses to many victims.

The EFCC urged anyone who invested funds through individuals linked to CBEX offices in Ibadan or Idimu, Lagos, to report to its Ibadan Zonal Directorate or Lagos Zonal Directorate 2 for further investigation.
