The Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has reinstated Dr. Danlami Hayyo as the Mandate Secretary for Education and Mr. Michael Ango as the Acting Executive Chairman of the FCT Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS).
This decision was announced in a statement on Wednesday by Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant to the Minister on Public Communication and Social Media.
Wike emphasised his intolerance for any form of indiscipline among officials of the FCT Administration and instructed both Hayyo and Ango to immediately resume their duties.
Earlier, Hayyo had been suspended following reports in November about schools closing early in the FCT due to security concerns—reports that the FCTA later denied, clarifying that no such school closures were mandated by November 28, 2025.
