Veteran Nollywood actor Mustapha Bakare Otolo, widely known as Baba Oloto, has claimed that Ibrahim Chatta is currently the highest-paid actor in the Nigerian movie industry.
In a recent statement, Baba Oloto revealed that Chatta charges a staggering ₦5 million per day for movie roles and an additional ₦29 million when his film village is used for production.
He pointed out that the actor’s impressive earnings stand in sharp contrast to what many veteran actors receive, with some earning as little as ₦250,000 per scene.
Baba Oloto lamented the widening pay gap in Nollywood, saying it explains why many older actors struggle financially despite their years in the industry.
“Ibrahim Chatta is the highest-paid actor presently. He charges ₦5 million per day and ₦29 million for using his film village in movies,” he stated.
Ibrahim Chatta charges 5M per day & he’s the highest paid actor right now in the industry.
