The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has released images of a person of interest in the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk and is offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of those responsible.

Shared on X.com Thursday via the FBI’s Salt Lake City field office, the images show the individual wearing a cap, dark sunglasses, a long-sleeved shirt, and jeans. The FBI captioned the post: “We are asking for the public’s help identifying this person of interest in connection with the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University.”

In a separate post, the FBI confirmed the reward: “The FBI is offering up to $100,000 for information that can lead to the identification and arrest of the individual(s) responsible for the murder of Charlie Kirk on September 10, 2025, at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.” They urged anyone with photos or videos related to the incident to contact the agency.

According to reports, the FBI is actively pursuing leads, stating, “We are doing everything we can to find him, and we’re not sure how far he has gone yet, but we will do our best.”

Kirk, a prominent ally of President Donald Trump and co-founder of the largest conservative youth movement in the U.S., was shot dead Wednesday during an event at Utah Valley University. He was 31. At the time, he was seated under a tent wearing a white t-shirt reading “Freedom” and answering audience questions. The shooting occurred while he was addressing a question on “transgender shooters” and mass violence, according to former Utah congressman Jason Chaffetz, who attended the event.

The event was the first in a series of about 15 planned across the country through the end of October, and Kirk’s death has raised concerns over escalating political violence in the United States.
