Sean “Diddy” Combs has been sentenced to 50 months in federal prison following his conviction on two counts of transporting individuals to engage in prostitution.
The charges stemmed from parties he hosted, known as “freak-offs,” where paid sex workers were used in drug-fueled and sometimes violent encounters. He was acquitted of more serious allegations, including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion.
Combs has been in custody since his arrest in September 2024. Accounting for time already served, he is expected to spend roughly three more years behind bars. In addition to his prison sentence, he was fined $500,000 and will be under supervised release for five years after his release.
At the sentencing hearing, Combs expressed remorse, acknowledging past abusive behavior and struggles with drug addiction. His defense highlighted his rehabilitation efforts in prison, including teaching business skills to fellow inmates. Prosecutors, however, underscored the seriousness of his offenses and the need for deterrence.
