FG Approves Three Mega Schools In Gombe
The federal government has approved N6 billion for the construction of three large schools in Gombe State.
The North East Development Commission will oversee the projects, which are set to be built in Dadin Kowa, Dukku, and Kaltungo.
Officials said the initiative aims to improve educational infrastructure and expand access to quality learning across the state.
Each school is expected to include modern classrooms, laboratories, and recreational facilities to support students’ development.
The project reflects the government’s focus on investing in education as a driver of growth and human capital development in the North-East region.
Construction is expected to begin soon, with timelines for completion to be announced by NEDC.
Authorities have emphasised that the schools will cater to large student populations, addressing longstanding overcrowding in existing institutions and providing new opportunities for secondary education in the area.
