A fire broke out at the Army Arena Market in Oshodi, Lagos, on Tuesday evening, sending traders into panic as flames consumed parts of the busy market.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) confirmed the incident on its official X account, saying, “There’s a fire outbreak inside Arena Shopping Mall along Agege Motor Road, Oshodi. Men of @LagosRescue are on ground to extinguish the inferno.”
Emergency responders were quickly deployed to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to other sections of the market. The cause of the fire and the scale of the damage are yet to be officially disclosed.
