Nigerian passport holders now enjoy expanded travel freedom, as they can visit 45 countries across the world without obtaining a visa in advance, according to the latest update released by Visaindex.
This improvement significantly eases international travel for Nigerians, creating more flexible options for tourism, business engagements, and family visits abroad.
Out of the 45 destinations, 27 countries offer full visa-free entry to Nigerians. The remaining destinations provide simplified alternatives such as visa-on-arrival or Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA), depending on the country’s immigration policy.
Although entry rules still vary from one destination to another, the update highlights growing global access for Nigerian travellers and reduced administrative barriers.
