Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, has revealed that he was deeply provoked by remarks made by former President Olusegun Obasanjo during his 65th birthday celebration, admitting that the comment irritated him so much that he briefly felt like grabbing the microphone and hitting the former president with it.
Fayose disclosed this in a recent interview, where he narrated the events leading up to his birthday ceremony.
During the Lagos event, Obasanjo revisited his long-standing political feud with Fayose, describing the former governor as “not the best” among his protégés, even though he still acknowledged his political achievements.
Fayose also disclosed that two weeks before the birthday celebration, he made a deliberate decision to reconcile with several political figures he had previously fallen out with.
