Anambra State First Lady Nonye Soludo has issued a fierce rebuttal to APC deputy governorship candidate Uche Ekwunife, daring her to swear an oath of fidelity in a Catholic cathedral and submit her children for DNA testing in London hospitals.
In a statement released Saturday, Mrs Soludo denied the allegations of infidelity, giving Ekwunife 72 hours to withdraw the claims and publicly apologize or face legal action.
“In my 55 years on earth, I have known only one man, Chukwuma Soludo. I married him as a virgin, and my fidelity to him through 33 years of marriage and for life is ironclad,” she said.
She challenged Ekwunife to join her in taking an oath of fidelity before the Blessed Sacrament and to swear, along with her children, that she has never cheated on her husband. Mrs Soludo also offered to cover all expenses for DNA tests in three London hospitals to confirm the paternity of both families’ children, promising a cash award if Ekwunife’s children are confirmed to be her husband’s.
The dispute stems from a viral video in which Ekwunife alleged that Mrs Soludo had an affair with late Anambra governor Chinwoke Mbadinuju and questioned her children’s paternity.
Responding in a separate statement, Ekwunife dismissed the ultimatum, saying Soludo owed answers only to her husband and that she had no part in the family’s private matters.
