PDP Assures Ekiti Supporters Of Candidate Listing
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti has assured supporters that its governorship candidate, Dr. Wole Oluyede, will soon be officially listed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ahead of the June 20 election.
The omission of his name from INEC’s recently published list was linked to ongoing leadership disputes at the party’s national headquarters.
State party leaders say the issue is temporary and expect all legal and administrative matters to be resolved in the coming weeks, allowing full participation in the polls.
They expressed confidence that the party’s governance record and public support will strengthen its position in the race.
The party also marked the official move from a rented office to its permanent secretariat in Ado-Ekiti, citing political motivations behind the previous landlord’s eviction, who reportedly supports the ruling party.
Leaders framed the relocation as reclaiming a rightful property and boosting organisational stability ahead of the election.
Officials reaffirmed their commitment to challenging the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and ensuring a competitive poll.
They said the PDP is focused on mobilising supporters and running an effective campaign to secure victory in June.
