PDP Dismisses Ward Disruption Attempts
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State has rejected moves by some individuals in Mozum Ward to stir unrest, calling their actions invalid.
The party said the alleged actors are not formally inaugurated and therefore have no authority to act on its behalf.
A committee has been set up to investigate the incident and recommend disciplinary measures for those found responsible.
The party reaffirmed that Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo remains the recognised State Chairman, urging members and the public to ignore circulating misinformation.
PDP accused a former lawmaker aligned with the APC and other disgruntled elements of attempting to destabilise the party.
Mozum Ward officials also distanced themselves from the actions and called for calm and unity among members.
The party described Gambo’s leadership as exemplary and noted that no formal petitions have been filed against him.
