A man resembling Nigerian singer Portable has raised alarm, claiming the musician is threatening him after he performed Portable’s songs at a recent show.
The lookalike alleges that Portable is upset about him singing his hits without authorization and collecting money from the performances.
In a video, he can be seen appealing to Portable, visibly worried. “Please don’t kill me the way they killed Mohbad,” he says, referencing the late musician Mohbad.
The man had mimicked Portable’s style, hairstyle, and stage mannerisms, which may have contributed to the tension. His plea follows reports that Portable was displeased with him performing the songs and possibly confusing fans due to their striking resemblance.
