Nollywood star Regina Daniels has once again broken down in tears, expressing anguish over the ongoing detention of her brother, Samuel “Sammy West” Daniels, who remains behind bars under murky circumstances.
In a heartbreaking video posted on Instagram, Regina said she was willing to return to her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, if that was the only way to secure her brother’s freedom.
“I’m losing my mind,” she cried. “Every day I wake up to something new about my brother online. Yesterday, I heard he was about to be released; today, I hear something different. I’ve tried everything, but I’ll go back if that’s the only way to get him out.”
The actress had earlier accused Nwoko, the senator representing Delta North, of using his influence to engineer Sammy’s arrest. Although the lawmaker has yet to react publicly, social media has been flooded with demands for the young man’s release.
Her brother, Sweezzy Daniels, recently revealed that Sammy appeared in court and was remanded at the Suleja Prison in Niger State, further deepening the family’s distress.
In a follow-up post, Regina made disturbing allegations, claiming her brother was being punished for defending her during her troubled marriage.
“Shame on the Nigerian police,” she wrote. “The highest bidder always wins. I’ll go back, do whatever Ned says, even if it means being locked up and drugged like before — if that’s what it takes to bring my brother home. There’s no real case against him. This just proves Ned Nwoko is bigger than the whole system. I’ve lost.”
Her emotional outburst has drawn massive sympathy online, with fans and celebrities urging authorities to ensure fairness and transparency in Sammy West’s case.
