Relief Package Reaches Kano Communities
The Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, has begun the distribution of 54,600 bags of rice across the state as part of efforts to ease hardship.
The exercise was launched in Kano with officials and community leaders in attendance.
The food items are to be shared among vulnerable residents, including low-income families and selected groups across the 44 local government areas.
The move comes amid rising food prices and growing concerns over the cost of living.
State officials said the distribution is designed to cushion the impact of economic pressure on households. Beneficiaries are expected to receive the support through structured channels to ensure fair reach.
The governor urged residents to remain patient and assured that his administration would continue to introduce measures aimed at supporting struggling families.
