Rema has shared his frustration over the worsening insecurity in Nigeria, urging leaders to recognize how deeply the crisis is affecting the nation’s young people.
The singer, in a post on his X page, wrote:
“Until they protect the youths and allow them to grow into their full potential, Nigeria will never be truly great. 💔🇳🇬”
His comment follows a string of violent attacks in Kebbi, Kwara and Niger states, incidents that have pushed security agencies into a heightened state of alert. Communities in these areas have been hit by raids, kidnappings and assaults, adding to the sense of fear spreading across the country.
Rema’s message reflects the growing belief that the persistent insecurity is stealing opportunities from young Nigerians and weakening the country’s path to progress. By calling attention to the need for safety and support, he stresses that a nation cannot thrive while its youth live in constant uncertainty.
