Tinubu Praises Fintiri APC Alignment
President Bola Tinubu has praised Ahmadu Fintiri for his rapid infrastructure achievements and welcomed his alignment with the All Progressives Congress, saying it strengthens the party’s hold in the North-East.
The event in Yola, attended by top APC leaders including Vice President Kashim Shettima and governors from several northern states, marked Fintiri receiving the party flag.
Tinubu described Fintiri as a “big political investment” whose inclusion boosts prospects for the 2027 elections.
APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda said Fintiri’s move weakens the opposition and called on members to support the governor, highlighting his focus on youth development, democratic growth, and infrastructure.
Fintiri clarified he is not defecting but aligning with the APC to advance development policies, stressing cooperation with the federal government to drive economic growth in Adamawa and Nigeria.
