Don Jazzy has shared insights into his struggles with failure prior to founding Mavin Records.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, the music mogul revealed that he nearly quit the music industry after the dissolution of Mo’Hits. He admitted that he even considered moving abroad and stepping away from producing altogether.
However, Don Jazzy credited his friends’ encouragement and support for keeping him motivated. Their backing inspired him to persevere and rebuild his career.
“When Mo’Hits ended, I thought that was it. I almost packed up to move abroad. But friends encouraged me to stay and start again, and Mavin Records was born. Since then, I’ve learned not to let anything break me,” he said.
