Social media personality Martins Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), and comedian Freedom Atsepoyi, also called Mr Jollof, were involved in a physical altercation during a flight from Asaba to Lagos.
The clash came to public attention when Facebook user Dr Paul Ezikel shared a video of the incident on Monday morning. The duo was reportedly aboard a United Nigerian Airline plane when the fight broke out.
VDM and Mr Jollof have had a long-standing feud on social media. The tension reportedly escalated after VDM accused the comedian’s wife of being involved with internet fraudsters, sparking a series of heated exchanges online.
VDM later confirmed the altercation on his Facebook page, claiming he confronted Mr Jollof. “I don chop Jollof father for inside plane. He bite me, man wey de bite,” he said in the video.
The video has since gone viral, drawing widespread reactions from fans and followers of both personalities.
