Former Big Brother Naija Season 10 contestant, Thelma Lawson, has spoken about the financial strain that follows fame, revealing that her lifestyle has become far more expensive since leaving the reality show.
In a recent interview, Thelma explained that the pressure to maintain her public image and meet fans’ expectations has significantly increased her expenses.
“Because you are showing up for events,” she said. “I came out of the house and found out that I was named ‘the most fashionable.’ Now, I have an audience that wants to see what Thelma is wearing.”
She further noted that managing her business adds to the financial burden. “It’s expensive. Also, because I have a business that requires constant restocking, it’s very, very overwhelming.”
Thelma, who became popular for her daring fashion choices during the show, stated that staying relevant in the public space brings both exposure and considerable financial challenges.
