Shehu Kambile, Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State, has officially resigned from his position as Special Assistant to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri. The announcement came on Wednesday in Yola, the state capital.
Kambile described his resignation as a strategic move aimed at dedicating his full attention to strengthening the ADC as the leading opposition party in Adamawa.
“My appointment was part of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) initiative meant to promote national unity. I am thankful for the opportunity to serve Governor Fintiri, but it’s time to step aside and concentrate on building a strong and effective opposition,” he stated.
He emphasised the need for an opposition capable of offering a credible alternative to the people.
Kambile also praised former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for his dedication to fostering inclusive and democratic practices within the ADC. He called on all party members to unite and work towards the party’s success.
