Sowore Criticizes Oshiomhole After Private Jet Video
Activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has criticised Senator Adams Oshiomhole after a video showing the lawmaker aboard a private jet with a South African woman spread online.
Sowore linked the moment to recent remarks by the senator claiming food prices were falling across the country.
He argued that a politician who flies privately cannot understand the daily struggles of ordinary Nigerians. According to him, leaders living in comfort are cut off from the realities faced by low-income families who battle rising costs.
Sowore said such officials have no real sense of how much basic items like rice, garri and cooking oil cost in local markets.
He insisted that luxury lifestyles make it impossible for them to relate to citizens who depend on public transport and modest earnings.
The comments come amid growing anger over claims that food prices have dropped, a position many Nigerians strongly dispute. For Sowore, the viral jet episode only reinforced his view that those in power are far removed from the hardship on the streets.
