A video circulating online shows a female student and a lecturer at Niger Delta University in Bayelsa State involved in a physical altercation.
The clash reportedly occurred after the lecturer asked the student to leave the examination hall for allegedly cheating. The student’s refusal to comply escalated the situation into a fight.
Sources say the student demanded her confiscated phone before leaving and, during the confrontation, damaged the lecturer’s phone. In the footage, another official can be heard repeatedly instructing the student to exit, but she insisted on getting her phone back first.
Attempts to obtain a comment from the university management have so far been unsuccessful, and further details of the incident remain unclear.
