The founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has reiterated that he has no interest in participating in partisan politics under any circumstances.
The cleric stated that no amount of financial inducement, including an offer of one billion dollars, would convince him to venture into the political arena.
Oyedepo made the declaration while speaking during an impartation service at Shiloh 2025, held at the church’s headquarters in Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State.
He explained that politics does not align with his divine assignment, stressing that his calling lies outside political involvement.
Recalling events ahead of the 2015 general elections, the bishop said he had earlier warned members of the church about impending national challenges, which he noted later came to pass.
According to him, engaging in partisan politics would distract him from his life’s purpose, insisting that even a billion-dollar offer would not change his position.
Oyedepo also remarked that the world is in desperate need of divine intervention, pointing to increasing moral and societal decline.
He cited a biblical passage from Romans 8:19, stating that the world awaits the manifestation of believers who are being prepared as an end-time force to provide solutions to both national and global problems.
Drawing comparisons with biblical figures such as Joseph and Daniel, he said believers are being equipped to influence society positively without necessarily holding political office.
