JAMB Warns Over Fake UTME Information
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has warned that candidates who provided false information in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination registration could lose their admission offers.
JAMB’s management said it will thoroughly screen all details submitted during the UTME process, and discrepancies found between what candidates provided and official records may lead to disqualification.
The board noted that accuracy in data such as names, dates of birth, identification numbers and educational history is crucial, and false entries will hurt an applicant’s chances of being offered admission.
JAMB advised all candidates to ensure their information is current and correct, adding that admission offers may be revoked if irregularities are discovered during verification.
