Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara is in Abuja at the Presidential Villa for a meeting with President Bola Tinubu.
While the official reason for the visit remains undisclosed, it is widely believed to be connected to the president’s role in restoring stability in Rivers State.
Channels TV reports that Fubara arrived alone at the villa around 6:20 pm on Monday and headed straight to the President’s office.
According to Naija Users, Fubara, his deputy, and several members of the state House of Assembly—suspended in March during a prolonged political crisis—were reinstated by the president last week.
In a statewide broadcast, the governor expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for intervening in the state’s crisis and also praised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for his efforts in promoting peace.
