Anambra Enforces New Directives To Traders
The Anambra State Government has directed traders in major markets across the state to inform market authorities before closing their shops on market days.
The policy applies to all 41 designated markets.
The government said traders must notify market executives in advance and provide reasons for any planned closure.
It added that compliance is necessary for order and proper market coordination.
Authorities also warned that traders who fail to follow the directive will face sanctions.
The announcement was shared through the state government’s official communication channels.
The move is linked to ongoing efforts by the state to enforce business activities on Mondays and curb sit-at-home disruptions affecting economic life in the region.
