Blame FG When Schools Shutdown – ASUU
The Academic Staff Union of Universities has warned that the Federal Government will be held responsible if public universities are shut down due to unresolved issues affecting the education sector.
The warning comes amid growing concerns over tensions between both parties.
ASUU said repeated disputes and unmet agreements have continued to push the university system toward disruption.
The union stressed that failure to address lingering problems could affect academic activities across campuses nationwide.
The group noted that students and lecturers continue to suffer from instability caused by prolonged disagreements.
It said urgent steps are needed to prevent another shutdown of universities.
ASUU maintained that it remains committed to dialogue but insisted that the government must act quickly to avoid another round of academic disruption in the country.
