Razak Omotoyossi, the former striker born in Nigeria who chose to represent Benin, has passed away, sending shockwaves through the African football community.
Widely regarded as one of Benin’s greatest-ever players, Omotoyossi scored 21 goals in 55 international appearances.
He was married to Nollywood actress Bose Alao, and the couple are blessed with children.
Sources indicate that Omotoyossi had been struggling with depression following a fire that destroyed part of his home a few months ago.
