Former Director of Finance of the Abia State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (ASOPADEC), Mr. Kelechi Uwaoma, popularly known as Wommy, has come under heavy fire for an alleged three-year affair with the wife of his close friend and fellow Umuahia Premier Club member.
According to findings, the woman ,married with two children and working in ASOPADEC’s Social Development Department had complained to her husband about idleness at work and pleaded with him to use his connections to secure her a busier posting. Out of love and trust, the unsuspecting husband approached Mr. Uwaoma for help.
Instead of acting professionally, Mr. Uwaoma allegedly arranged for the woman to be posted directly to his office as his secretary. Almost immediately, he began a sêxúǎl relationship with her, engaging in marathon sẽx sessions, some of which were recorded. In one shocking incident, Uwaoma allegedly invited two friends to join him in a threesome with the woman who happened to be the wife of his club member.
The affair, which reportedly began in 2023, came to light in 2025 after the husband unknowingly stumbled upon explicit videos stored on his wife’s old iPhone 13. The phone had been replaced with a new iPhone 16 he bought for her, but she delayed handing over the old one for over a month allegedly in an attempt to erase evidence.
When confronted, the woman initially denied the affair but broke down after being shown the videos, blaming “the devil” and pleading for forgiveness. Uwaoma also initially denied any wrongdoing until the traditional ruler of his community summoned him and asked him to open up to him which prompted him to admit the acts and beg for mercy.
The enraged husband has reportedly told Uwaoma to marry the woman in addition to his own wife, accusing him of destroying her beyond repair.
It is worth noting that this same woman had enjoyed her husband’s love, care, and financial support, including a brand-new car and other lavish gifts even as she allegedly betrayed him with his close friend.
