Ibom Air is trending because a lady was stripped naked and forcefully ejected from the airline after attacking its Air Hostess, in what Nigerians are calling a KWAM 2 situation. [Full Vid]
Apparently, Comfort Emmanson in a flight from Uyo to Lagos, refused to turn off her phone, per standard protocols, delaying the take off. The hostess persuaded, but she still bluntly refused.
Until the pilot again, made another call. This time, a fellow passenger seating beside her, snatched the phone and switched it off.
As the flight took off, Comfort went wild on the passenger and the hostess., but it calmed.
When they landed in Lagos. Ms. Comfort waited for everyone to disembark, then went straight to the hostess — who thought the matter had settled. Comfort, comfortably tore her wig, removed and smashed her eye glasses, choked, slapped and used her slippers to beat her.
When other cabin crew members tried to intervene, she slapped them too. So they kept her in as the pilot called for spirit security.
As they approached, Comfort then tried to remove the emergency fire extinguisher to attack. When airport security arrived, Comfort was still throwing tantrums mixed with slaps, kicks and punches.
Leaving them no choice but to bundle her out of the plane. Her resistance made the situation unnecessarily aggressive, which forced her clothes to tear exposing her privates.
After ejecting her, she continued the tantrums and like K1, she started making phone calls, threatening to shutdown the airline and deal with the Ibom Air hostess.
Again, with calls + slaps + shoves + shouts.. a literal erratic situation, they again bundled her into a bus, and took her not to airport security, but straight to the police station for investigations.
NCAA have been notified and Ibom Air has immediately banned her from flying the airline, whether she tenders an apology or not.
All these, is according to Ibom Air Statement. But Nigerians do not entirely accept it, as they believe their handling and management of the situation was poor. And they failed to mention the stripping part.
Even though some thought she was perhaps under the influence of substances. They, still believe she has a strong case in court against the airline.
In fairness this isn’t entirely a KWAM 2 situation, it’s at best KWAM 3.
Around 10th of June, Edo North Senator, Adams Oshiomhole shutdown AirPeace with his DSS, forcing AirPeace to use another terminal. According to them, he came late and wanted to stroll into the aircraft. — They refused.
