The 2023 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, has claimed that Nigeria currently has no president.
The activist made this remark while responding to the terrorist attack that took place in a village market in Kabe District, Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State.
The attack resulted in the death of at least 30 unsuspecting residents.
The attackers also set the area on fire and were reported to have taken several other people away.
While reacting in a post on X, Sowore questioned why the president had not yet responded to the tragic incident.
He wrote, “More than 30 people have been murdered in cold blood in Niger State, and there has been no word, no empathy, no leadership from Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT.
“Nigeria is effectively without a president at this moment. Since disappearing before New Year’s Day under the excuse of “vacation,” Tinubu has remained silent while citizens are slaughtered.
“A country bleeding, and a leader missing in action, this is the tragic reality of Nigeria today”.
