Nigerian music icon Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia has debunked claims that he was arrested in London over a dispute with his wife, Natasha Osawaru.

The rumours surfaced after blogger Tosin Silverdam alleged that Natasha broke bottles during a heated argument with the singer in a taxi, which supposedly led to his arrest. The story spread online just before his planned concert in London on Thursday, October 2.

In a video shared on Instagram, 2Baba appeared in good spirits with Natasha and some friends, mocking the report. One of his associates joked, “Oh boy, dem don alleged you. Allegedly, dem say you way dey here, allegedly, dem don alleged you.”

The ‘African Queen’ hitmaker clarified that the show was cancelled due to health reasons, not because of any domestic altercation.

“First of all, I want to say everyone that came out, I appreciate you. We had a medical emergency, it was tough. To the organizers and everyone that came out, we go regroup and make something beautiful happen. And please, if una no sabi something, make una no talk abeg. This allegedly, I don tire,” he said.

2Baba and Natasha had their traditional wedding on July 25, months after his split from actress Annie Idibia. With no police record backing the arrest claims, his explanation has put fans at ease following the cancelled London performance.
