A Vote For Peter Obi Is A Vote For Tinubu – Okonkwo
Kenneth Okonkwo, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, has claimed that a vote for Peter Obi in the 2027 presidential election would ultimately favour President Bola Tinubu.
He made the remark while discussing opposition politics ahead of the next general election.
According to Okonkwo, the opposition must unite behind a single candidate if it hopes to defeat the ruling party.
He argued that a divided opposition would only weaken its chances and make it easier for Tinubu to secure another term.
The former spokesperson of the Labour Party presidential campaign said multiple strong candidates from opposition parties could split votes across the country.
He maintained that such a situation would work to the advantage of the incumbent president.
His comments add to growing debates within opposition circles over coalition talks, alliances and strategies for 2027.
Political observers expect discussions around a united opposition front to intensify as preparations for the election gather pace.
