Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay made it clear she does not want to be addressed by her ex-husband’s surname, Idibia, after a recent mix-up at a Lagos club.

During a night out, the club’s LED display introduced her as “Annie Idibia,” but the actress immediately requested that it be corrected to her current name, insisting on being called “Annie Macaulay.”

She shared the moment on her Instagram Stories, writing, “Zenbah the other night … no Idibia,” highlighting her refusal to be associated with her former married name. In a follow-up video showing the corrected display, she added the caption, “More like it … 1 Correct!!!” to express her satisfaction.

The incident underscores Annie’s effort to assert her independence and professional identity following her separation from singer 2Baba (Innocent Idibia), as she continues to maintain her presence in the entertainment industry on her own terms.
