Singer Kizz Daniel has refuted claims that a court ordered the freezing of his personal and business bank accounts over a contractual dispute.

The rumors, which spread across blogs and social media on Wednesday, alleged that his accounts had been frozen following a legal battle.

Taking to Instagram, the singer’s management released a statement describing the reports as “false and malicious,” accusing those behind them of attempting to discredit the artist.

“Our Artist is a professional who upholds his contractual obligations and makes extraordinary sacrifices to ensure fans around the world enjoy his performances,” the statement said.

Addressing the dispute, Kizz Daniel’s team explained that he was contracted to perform at the “Afrobeats Meets Berlin” concert on September 24, 2022, under a duly signed agreement. They alleged that the promoter, Kejuro Media & Entertainment, failed to meet crucial obligations such as securing visas and flights for the artist and his crew, leading to the cancellation.

The management stressed that any rescheduling could only happen under new terms, insisting that the signed agreement entitled them to full payment since the cancellation resulted from the promoter’s breach.

The dispute stems from the cancelled Berlin concert, where promoters claimed Kizz Daniel failed to refund a $50,000 performance fee. Some reports even alleged a German court ordered him to pay $200,000 in damages, but his team maintains that no such order exists and no accounts have been frozen.

This is not the first time Kizz Daniel has been at the center of controversy over performance issues — in 2022, he was arrested in Tanzania after failing to perform at a scheduled event.
