Senator Ned Nwoko has broken his silence over the circulation of a leaked medical report concerning his estranged wife, actress Regina Daniels, insisting that the documents are genuine and revealing serious health concerns.
In a statement, Nwoko said the toxicology and rehabilitation reports confirm that Regina tested positive for marijuana, cocaine, morphine, opiates, and alcohol, all at levels that pose significant health risks. He also cited a hospital report from Nizamiya Hospital, dated October 3, which stated that she was admitted unconscious following a drug overdose.
The senator criticized family interference during her rehabilitation, claiming that some relatives allowed her access to substances, undermining the treatment process. He emphasized that these factors, combined with the severity of her condition, make private interventions insufficient and highlight the urgent need for structured care.
Nwoko framed his insistence on treatment as an act of concern for Regina’s safety and the well-being of their two young sons. He said her recent decisions suggest she is vulnerable and being exploited, stressing that consistent support and protection are critical to help her regain stability and make sound decisions.
“Past attempts to help her privately did not succeed. Given the severity of the substances detected and the hospital emergency, this is no longer a matter that can be handled quietly. Regina needs treatment, support, and protection to regain her health and safeguard her future and that of her children,” the senator said.
Amid the controversy, Regina Daniels publicly expressed gratitude to Serenity Royale Hospital, which clarified it did not leak the medical report. She thanked the hospital for maintaining patient confidentiality and standing by the truth, acknowledging that the leak had caused her considerable distress.
The situation underscores ongoing concerns about her health and well-being, as both Nwoko and Daniels contend with public scrutiny while seeking solutions for her recovery.
