Oyo Abducted Schoolchildren To Be Freed Soon – Police
The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ayo Fayoade, has said that schoolchildren and teachers kidnapped in Oyo State are expected to regain their freedom soon as security agencies intensify rescue efforts across the area.
He gave the update while speaking on the ongoing operation aimed at locating the victims and disrupting the activities of the armed group responsible for the abduction.
Security operatives are working in coordination with other agencies, with patrols and intelligence gathering increased to pressure the kidnappers and secure a safe release of those taken.
The assurance comes as anxiety continues among residents and families of the abducted pupils and teachers, with hopes rising that the operation will soon bring them home safely.
