Actress and humanitarian Sarah Martins has received a ₦20 million gift from Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, days after she was arrested by officials of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (KAI) for distributing food to the needy on a busy sidewalk.

In a viral video, a representative of Seyi Tinubu visited Sarah to present the cash gift, explaining that it was meant to support her passion for feeding the less privileged while encouraging her to operate in a safer and more structured environment.

“We want you to get a proper space where public health and safety will not be compromised,” the representative said. “When you secure a shop, Seyi Tinubu will also take responsibility for furnishing it with state-of-the-art industrial kitchen equipment. This is just to help you get started.”

The representative added that although Seyi Tinubu is currently out of the country, he closely follows Sarah’s charitable efforts online and wanted to encourage her to keep making a difference—while complying with public health and safety standards.

“Seyi is a philanthropist. He watches what you do and appreciates your efforts. This support is simply a way to motivate you to keep going, but in line with government rules and regulations,” the representative noted.

Overwhelmed with emotion, Sarah Martins expressed her gratitude, saying, “Seyi Tinubu sent me ₦20 million to support what I do. I’m short of words, I’m literally speechless. God bless you, Mr. Seyi Tinubu. This means so much to me and the street kids.”

Her arrest by KAI had sparked widespread debate on social media, with many Nigerians praising her humanitarian gesture while others stressed the need to balance compassion with public safety laws.
