Tinubu, Shettima Leads APC Push For Oyebanji Second Term
President Bola Tinubu has called on voters in Ekiti State to re-elect Governor Biodun Oyebanji in the governorship election scheduled for Saturday.
He made the appeal through Vice President Kashim Shettima at the All Progressives Congress mega rally held in Ado-Ekiti.
The rally brought together top political figures, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, APC governors, lawmakers and party leaders from across the country.
About 18 state governors attended the event in a show of support for Oyebanji’s second-term bid.
Tinubu said the Ekiti governor had shown strong leadership since taking office, pointing to ongoing projects and his relationship with residents across different groups.
He urged voters to continue with what he described as steady governance by returning Oyebanji to office.
Other speakers at the rally also backed the governor, praising his development record in areas such as infrastructure, education and public welfare.
Oyebanji, in his response, thanked supporters and promised to build on his achievements if given another term.
