Tinubu Wins APC Primary In Gombe State
President Bola Tinubu has secured 450,517 votes in the All Progressives Congress presidential primary held in Gombe State ahead of the 2027 general election.
His only opponent, Stanley Osifo, did not record any vote in the exercise.
The result was announced by Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, who served as the collation officer for the primary and coordinated the process across the 11 local government areas of the state.
He said the exercise reflected strong backing for the APC in the state.
Yahaya noted that the process was peaceful and transparent, adding that party members in Gombe remain firmly behind Tinubu’s leadership.
He also said the outcome showed wide acceptance of the president’s policies and direction.
APC officials in the state described the primary as a sign of unity within the party, while electoral observers and security agencies monitored the collation process to ensure order.
