The singer shared a viral video on his X page with the caption: “He’s embarrassing his family 😭😭😂😂.” The clip shows a woman defending Wizkid’s fanbase while scolding Seun Kuti in Yoruba for continually attacking the singer’s supporters. She argued that without Wizkid, Fela’s legacy might not be as widely celebrated, pointing out that his fanbase has actually helped keep Fela’s name alive. Wizkid also referred to Seun as “omo baba oni pata gigan,” emphasizing that Fela’s legacy speaks for itself.
Wizkid posted the same video on his Instagram story and later returned to X to drop a single laughing emoji (😂), which sparked a flurry of reactions from fans and social media users.
