An aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has criticised President Bola Tinubu’s administration, arguing that recent developments have led many Nigerians to view former President Muhammadu Buhari more favourably than before.

The remark came amid ongoing debates over the country’s economic and security challenges.

The Atiku camp claimed that public perception of Buhari’s tenure has changed as citizens compare past and present conditions.

According to the aide, growing dissatisfaction with current realities has caused some Nigerians to reassess Buhari’s years in office.

The comment adds to the increasing political exchanges between opposition figures and the ruling government.

The statement is the latest in a series of criticisms directed at the Tinubu administration as political discussions ahead of the 2027 general election continue to gather momentum.
