INEC Plans Mock Accreditation Ahead Of Ekiti Election
The Independent National Electoral Commission in Ekiti State has scheduled a mock voter accreditation exercise for Friday as part of preparations for the June 20 governorship election.
The exercise is aimed at testing readiness ahead of the poll.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr Bunmi Omoseyindemi, said the exercise will be conducted in selected local government areas across the three senatorial districts.
It is designed to ensure that election processes run smoothly on election day.
He explained that the test will focus on checking the performance of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System devices that will be deployed for the election.
Any faults detected during the exercise will be fixed before the main poll.
He also urged voters who have not collected their Permanent Voter Cards to do so before the deadline, noting that collection will end on Thursday to allow full participation in the election.
