Grammy Award-winning American singer Ciara has arrived in Lagos, Nigeria, to participate in the 15th anniversary celebration of Lagos Fashion Week and embark on a cultural exploration of the city’s vibrant creative scene.

Her arrival was confirmed by the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Lagos State Governor, Jubril Gawat, who shared that she was warmly received by the Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka.

“International superstar and Grammy Award winner, Ciara Princess Wilson, is in Lagos, accompanied by the Commissioner for Tourism. She will be joining us to celebrate our tourism, art, and culture,” Gawat stated.

During her stay, Ciara is expected to engage deeply with Lagos’s fashion, art, and entertainment communities. Her itinerary includes visits to cultural landmarks and meetings with local designers and creatives.

Described as a symbolic “homecoming,” Ciara’s visit highlights Lagos as a global hub for creativity and innovation.

She will also make appearances at Lagos Fashion Week, an event that has, for 15 years, showcased African fashion and elevated local designers to international recognition through its partnership with the Lagos State Government.

Ciara’s presence aims to promote Lagos as Africa’s creative capital and strengthen the city’s reputation as a cultural and fashion powerhouse on the continent.
