Dangote Cuts Down On Petrol Price
The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced its petrol gantry price from N1,275 to N1,250 per litre following a fall in global crude oil prices.
The adjustment was confirmed by a senior company official on Saturday.
The official said the change reflects recent shifts in the international oil market, where crude prices have declined after months of volatility linked to geopolitical tensions and negotiations involving major oil producers.
Market data showed that depot prices across Nigeria were already adjusting, with several suppliers selling slightly below previous levels as traders responded to changing global supply conditions.
The Dangote refinery’s new rate now places it lower than some competitors in the market.
Oil prices, which had earlier surged above $100 per barrel during periods of conflict, have recently eased, raising expectations of further price adjustments in the downstream sector if the trend continues.
