Edo Contender Buys APC Ticket Form To Challenge Tinubu
An APC chieftain, Stanley Osifo, has purchased the N100 million presidential nomination and expression of interest forms of the All Progressives Congress to contest the 2027 election.
The move sets up a possible challenge to Bola Tinubu.
The purchase was confirmed on Tuesday through a video shared by a party official, showing the payment and collection of the forms.
Osifo had earlier declared his intention to run for the party’s presidential ticket.
He dismissed claims linking his ambition to support from the president, insisting his decision is based on personal conviction.
He also maintained that endorsements within the party do not replace due process in selecting candidates.
The APC has scheduled its presidential primary for mid-May, while the Independent National Electoral Commission has outlined timelines leading to the 2027 general elections.
