Elephant is trending because rogue elephants have klled Big Kala, in Ogun State.
Turns out the elephants have been disturbing that community for the past four years.
Apparently some elephants escaped from Ogun State Forest Reserve, wandered and trampled on a farmer, Musa Kalamu aka big Kala. He died on their way to the hospital.
Locals claims the elephants have been escaping the reserves and wandering into their farms, destroying their crops, damage their fishing nets and they’ve been complaining, but the government did nothing, now it has killed one of them.
Experts believe Big Kala might have triggered the innocent elephants, for them to react violently.
Ogun State Forestry officers were deployed to restore sanity in Itasin Imobi, Ijebu East Local Government.
